“At the touch of Love every one becomes a poet” was the theme of the UCOWPA Winter Program 2010.
Saint Valentine's Day is celebrated in a big way in countries around the world. When the so-called Iron Curtain fell down, people of the Former Soviet Union saw that there are a lot of nice European and American holidays and have eagerly adopted some of them, and Valentine’s Day is one of those.
Ukrainians celebrate St. Valentine's Day by expressing love not just to their sweethearts, but everyone they hold dear and special.
This activity brought together various age groups of people of Ukrainian descent and the general public for an evening of fellowship and personal interaction.
It was held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 6:00 PM till midnight at Best Western Parkway Center Inn in Pittsburgh, PA.
